How To Use The Ibotta App

I really like saving money, so I’ve tried a bunch of apps. One of my favorites is called Ibotta. 

The Ibotta app lets you get money back when you buy things you use every day. Sometimes, especially if it’s from a new brand, you can even get things for free.

In this guide, I will tell you how to use the Ibotta app to save money and make money.

How To Use The Ibotta App

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the Ibotta app:

1. Download and sign up: First, download the Ibotta app from the App Store or Google Play Store and create an account. You can sign up using your email address or through a social media account like Facebook or Google. Make sure to use the Ibotta referral code “KVYWOSC” to earn the sign up bonus. 
2. Browse offers: Once you’re logged in, you can browse available offers by category, such as groceries, online shopping, or travel. You can also search for specific retailers or products using the search bar.
3. Add offers to your account: When you find an offer you’re interested in, tap on it to view the details and requirements. To add the offer to your account, tap the “+” icon or “Add Offer” button. Some offers may require you to complete a simple task, such as watching a short video or answering a survey question.
4. Shop and purchase eligible items: After adding offers to your account, go shopping and purchase the eligible items at participating retailers. Make sure to follow the offer’s requirements, such as purchasing a specific product size or quantity.
5. Verify your purchases: After shopping, you’ll need to verify your purchases by scanning the product barcodes and uploading your receipt. To do this, open the Ibotta app and tap the “Redeem” button at the bottom of the screen. Select the retailer where you made the purchase, and follow the prompts to scan the barcodes and take a photo of your receipt. Make sure the receipt is clear and includes the retailer’s name, date, and eligible items.
6. Earn cashback: Once your receipt is submitted and approved, the cashback amount will be added to your Ibotta account. You can track your earnings in the “Account” section of the app.
7. Withdraw your earnings: When you reach a minimum balance of $20, you can withdraw your earnings through PayPal, Venmo, or by choosing from a selection of gift cards.

How To Use Ibotta With Receipts

To use Ibotta with receipts, follow these steps:

1. Open the Ibotta app and select the retailer you’re shopping at.
2. Before checkout, add offers to your account by tapping on them.
3. After checkout, tap “Redeem” at the bottom of the app.
4. Upload a photo of your receipt and confirm the offers you’d like to redeem.

Alternatively, some stores, like Best Buy, allow you to shop receipt-free by verifying your purchase through the Ibotta app.

What Types Of Stores And Products Can You Use Ibotta For?

Ibotta can be used at a variety of stores, including Target, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS. The app offers cashback on a wide range of products, such as tissues and other everyday items. 

To find offers for specific stores or products, you can use the search bar within the Ibotta app. Simply type in the store name or product you’re interested in, and the app will display available offers for you to add to your account. 

Remember to follow the offer’s requirements, such as purchasing a specific product size or quantity, to ensure you earn cashback on your purchases.

What Are Some Grocery Stores That Participate In Ibotta?

Yes, Ibotta works with grocery stores in different areas as well as big stores that are all over the country. Different stores work with Ibotta in different areas. Ibotta works with lots of stores, like grocery stores, drugstores, and online stores. 
There are some grocery stores that take part in Ibotta, like H-E-B, Publix, and Meijer. If you want to find deals for certain grocery stores or items in your area, just type what you’re looking for in the search box on the Ibotta app.
